Here’s a fast, easy holiday cookie recipe with one HUGE difference, you’re cooking them outside! That’s right. This year, holiday cookies are out in the cold, but don’t worry, they’ll be a hot ticket item at your house in no time at all!
Here’s the recipe, but notice some key differences in ALL CAPS:
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1. Preheat YOUR PACIFIC LIVING OUTDOOR PIZZA OVEN to HIGH (SHOULD BE READY TO GO IN 20 MINUTES). In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.
3. ONCE THE OVEN IS PREHEATED, TURN THE DIAL TO MEDIUM HEAT. Bake 5 to 8 minutes in your OUTDOOR OVEN, or until golden. REMEMBER TO TURN THEM EVERY THREE MINUTES TO EVENLY COOK! Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.
Decorate to your heart’s content, and enjoy!
